Local detail that matters

Summerland is one of the communities where BC's principal residence requirement for short-term rentals applies, and the District has its own short-term rental regulations. With a wine route that closes for the winter, the months from November to March are a natural time to close the year, sort out the receipts and get ready for spring filing.

Dates to keep in mind

For the 2026 tax year, most personal returns and all balances owing are due April 30, 2027. Self-employed people file by June 15, 2027. We are based at 129 Nanaimo Ave W in Penticton. Most of the work happens by phone, video and shared documents, so you do not need to drive in, but you are welcome to.
