How we handle your information

Dockweiler is a bookkeeping and tax service based at 129 Nanaimo Ave W, Penticton, BC V2A 1N2. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

When you fill out the form on dockweiler.io or a Dockweiler lead form on Facebook or Instagram, we collect what you give us: your name, email, phone number, town, and what you would like help with. The website form may also ask for your business name and approximate revenue.

Why we collect it

We use it only to contact you about a call and to understand what you need before we talk. We do not use it for anything else without asking you first.

How it is stored and shared

Your information is kept in secure cloud storage with access limited to Dockweiler. We do not sell it. We share it only with service providers that help us run this site and reply to you, such as our website host, email provider, and Meta when you use a Facebook or Instagram lead form. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada.

How long we keep it

If we do not end up working together, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you become a client, we keep records as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and tax record-keeping requirements.

Analytics

We use PostHog to see how people use this site, such as which pages are visited and whether the form was sent. This helps us improve the site. We do not send your name, email, or phone number to PostHog.

Your rights

Under BC PIPA you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it.
